In 2018 over seven thousand residents of San Francisco's Mission District were helped by the Mission Economic Development Agency. MEDA provides financial literacy trainig, a cradle to college to career initiative, affordable housing and community advocacy. More photos here and you can see the whole report in flip format here.

Glide is providing thousands of hot and nutritious meals to San francisco's most desperate residents. Many are camped out with their belongings on the cold streets, others are lucky enough to be able to stay in a shelter or SRO hotel. Many have substance abuse issues or mental health challenges all of them are accepted unconditionally at Glide.

The Jewish Home offers all inlusive care for San Francisco's elders. I've been fortunate to wrok with them for over fifteen years.
Glide continues to serve San Francisco's most marginalized individuals and families. I'm happy to help with their outreach and fundrasing efforts.
I've been fortunate to work with KQED and Speaker Nancy Pelosi and today the Speaker apperared on alive taping of KQED's Forum. The next morning at San Francisco's Transbay Terminal she promoted President Biden's Build Back Better infrastructure plan.

There have been many changes at Glide during the Pandemic including a seperation from the Methodist Church, the death of beloved co-founder Janice Mirikitani and just recently the depature of Glide's CEO and President Karen Hanrahan. The Center for Social Justice is making huge progress including spearheading the movemnet to ban racially motivated trafic stops in San Francisco. And Glide's Meals pogram continues to serve three meals a day to San Francisco's hungry.

Nice little video that Aurelia Santos and Dianna Garrett at Center for Elders' Independence just finished. CEI, the East Bay's premier PACE organization recently adopted a new charter statement and are using this video to publicize it now.
During the pandemic I upgraded all my equipment and started adding videography to my skill set. Aurelia did the directing and editing. It's four minutes, let me know what you think.

San Francisco's Department of Children, Youth and Their Families provides funding for services and programs for those in need. I helped them document and illustrate their recent Community Needs Assessment.

It was sometime in the early 1990's that I did my first shoot for Glide. Now thirty years later and in honor of National Photography Month I'm turning the camera on myself. Working at Glide has been a blessing and my life as a result has been filled with prosperity and LOVE.

Through two speakerships and passage of historic healthcare legislation, a failed presidency ( not her's but you know who's ) and an insurection - also failed, Speaker Emerti Nancy Pelosi has fought for American democracy and San Francisco's cherised vaules of choice, equality and yes freedom.
I've been lucky enough to work with her for the past eighteen years and I'd have to say we're still going strong!
It's been thirty plus years working behind the camera- I've been blessed. But finally, finally someone turned the camera on me.
In 2007 Vice President Kamala Harris was San Francisco's District Attorney and we celebrated her birthday with her mother Shyamala Gopalan PhD. I was shooting for Amelia Ashley-Ward, publisher of the Sun Reporter newspaper and one of Kamala's earliest supporters.
Noemi Gonzalez-Rocha and her crew of talented interpretors are working to create a more equal society through language justice. They provide onsite interpretation so all participants can feel welcome, valued and engage equally. So powerful!
